From Our Garden to Your Table: The No Weeds Farms Story

Welcome to No Weeds Farms, where our passion for growing food has blossomed into a fulfilling urban farm on the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. We’re Randy and Julie, and after careers in internet marketing, bookkeeping, and tax preparation, we decided to trade spreadsheets for soil and embrace our true calling: gardening. What started as a beloved hobby, especially after we married in August of 2021, quickly grew into a vibrant, two-acre oasis where we cultivate an abundance of organic vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

Our Philosophy: Know Your Food, Love Your Food
For us, No Weeds Farms is more than just growing; it’s about connecting with our food in a way that grocery stores simply can’t offer. We believe in organic practices, carefully nurturing our plants without the use of harsh chemicals or pesticides. There’s an incredible satisfaction in sitting down to a meal knowing exactly where every ingredient came from and how it was grown. We’ve often found that store-bought produce, while convenient, lacks the vibrant flavor and inherent goodness of food fresh from the garden, not to mention the mystery of its journey from farm to shelf. Every harvest here is a testament to our commitment to healthy, delicious, and transparent eating.

Our Journey of Growth: Building No Weeds Farms
Our farm is a labor of love, built largely by our own hands and fueled by countless hours of learning and a bit of trial and error!

Year One: Our journey began with the construction of a 24×60 high tunnel. Inside, we experimented with three distinct gardening methodologies: traditional raised bed square inch gardening, flexible Smart Pots, and innovative deep water culture hydroponics. We even developed a unique, self-maintaining hydroponic system that automatically fills buckets, adds nutrients, and provides essential air to the plant roots.

Year Two: We expanded our growing space significantly by building a 30×30 outdoor garden, securely surrounded by an 8-foot deer fence. This area features six rows of rich mushroom compost, with sturdy cattle panel and T-posts providing robust support for our climbing plants.

Year Three & Beyond: We’re currently putting the finishing touches on our climate-controlled microgreen grow house, a project we’re particularly excited about as we explore monetizing our delicious microgreen sprouts. We also envision a roadside farm stand soon, making our fresh produce even more accessible to our community.

From our first basil plant to our growing orchard of peach, plum, apple, pear, fig, lemon, and avocado trees, we’ve poured our hearts into No Weeds Farms. It’s a journey of continuous learning, abundant harvests, and the sheer joy of sharing the fruits (and vegetables!) of our labor with you.
